F.B.I. Searches Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Residence in Florida

 

The former president called the search an “assault” and complained that authorities had broken into a safe. The news appeared to come as a surprise to top aides at the White House.

Former President Donald J. Trump said that the F.B.I. had searched Mar-a-Lago, his Palm Beach, Fla., home, and had broken open a safe.
